
T he highly successful remake of the same name out there some years, and boxed by Wolfgang Petersen, is preparing to redo an appearance on Blu-Ray this time. So far, the film had been, in high definition, that the honors of the late HD-DVD format. Armed with a very successful soundtrack (also), highly impressive in theaters, but totally crushed and "rabottée" at its DVD release, Poseidon seems to make the most of its path to HD. In this case, field sound, as Warner, in zone A (but the title will be, as those of the publisher, usable in zone B), has decided to append an audio track encoded in DTS-HD Master audio (what about the depth of signal: 16 or 24 Bit?), instead of their usual Dolby True HD to ridiculously low rates. During his future output in Zone B French (not yet announced), this feature will of course be preserved, as was the case previously with the publisher capricious.
On April 6, so you can find the 2.35 widescreen movies and 1080p, with a new master, and this list of supplements:
