"This version has been restored and was the subject of a new digital engraving for a stunning image clarity of 1080p and a revitalized fidelity sound in DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1"
W e were talking to a few weeks ago, without having received confirmation from, but initial tests North Americans fell yesterday: the beautiful Doctor Zhivago by David Lean, with onions remsterisé by Warner, has indeed a English audio track DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 completely uncompressed. To date, this is the first title of the monumental catalog of the publisher, Warner, to benefit from this treatment. Knowing that his previous releases were presented in Dolby True HD 5.1, beginning with a relatively low nominal digital audio, this time, the situation is quite different. Already impressive on the DVD edition (available in recent years), who presented in Dolby Digital 5.1, the timeless music of Maurice Jarre gets here to overrule incommensurable, in the limit, of course, technical data date of creation and mixing of the film. ( listen to the music of Maurice Jarre, on deezer )
Our fellow Canadians Site dvdbeaver have to split the title of some measures: well, we learn that the soundtrack quoted above has a strong and healthy rate of 3924 Kbps, all presented in 24 Bit. Of course, this definition must be designed floating / virtual, this bit depth was artificially incorporated into the final output before encoding DTS-HD Master Audio. But who's complaining?

In visual terms, the stunning photography of Freddie Young (assisted by Nicolas Roeg on many sequences) proves ideally transcribed in 1080p. Admit as much away, this is a wonderful opportunity to rediscover this classic, and this edition is, without a doubt, one of the reasons why Blu-Ray has been in points. The publisher is also not better, as other classics, published recently, like Clash of the Titans also incorporate this type of audio encoding, but presented in mono, DTS-HD Master Audio 2.0. A beneficial liberation audio flows we welcome most warmly the world, pending further from an editor, always, we pilloried, but which, since 2010, continues to surprise us. Doctor Zhivago will soon be published in our green lands, with technical characteristics similar if not identical.
