Without providing values for this anthology is the images, this disc gets away with the honors, featuring images of the film worked very Michel Gondry. Starting with a global calibration, every feature showing the characteristics of cinemas, especially bleak in terms of brightness and colorimetry with a majority based ocher, orange, which, from the beginning film, work to create an aesthetic model that some deem questionable, especially in terms of rendering faces and skin tones, often dressed characterized by jaundice. Otherwise, Sony requires the program SBMV (Super Bit Mapping) announced on the back cover does not disappoint at all. The degree of definition of suitable ranges remarkable, and each situation is seen decked out a real visual dimension, with bold colors and trenches. It will be the same for contrasts, with black ink, and the depth of field, often reworked since the film was transcoded in 3D, especially when explosive combat sequences (final apocalyptic movie in this sense). A note: the film was shot using cameras really different from each other. Red One (therefore HD) and Phantom HD for most scenes, and Panaflex (35mm film) to other sequences.

Again, the sound will never be seen marked with the seal of the unforgettable, but some sequences (as well as certain aspects of sound design applied to the film) deserves a closer analysis. Where the sequences called "quiet" excessive dialogues, do not activate sporadically data room, the other during the nocturnal wanderings of two heroes, offer a real staging that, by dint of visual excess, becomes staging. The actions of Kato show a marked dynamic and frank, while the soundstage opens finally on all channels, so sometimes violent but always exhilarating. A sensation of speed moves into the soundstage, which does not hesitate to move sounds in space and madness with precision, from front to rear, imparting to the narrative and images of sudden acceleration were seen in theaters in 3D. The channel of bass reinforcement, in such circumstances, be an ally, adding seating, depth and dynamism to the actions of Kato extensively studied. The accuracy of the codec DTS-HD Master Audio will never be taken if, and we note with pleasure that the frequency response has been no change / réégalisation wild (or at least not beyond reason), with clear and detailed from one extreme to another spectrum, open and comfortable listening. The overall dynamics also surprised on many occasions, mostly in the action sequences above. Finally, realism is still required, and the use of acoustic capabilities of a technical and artistic environment 5.1 does not fail to amaze, but without constituting an "absolute must".
