This third album, yet the newest, fails to fully convince all the way. The quilted "soft" the second album is here again used, but it is an artistic will, a kind of visual signature. However stung more than the 1997 film, this third album still offers plans with tasty colors, and the definition opulent, sometimes advanced. We will not withdraw its intrinsic qualities to this transfer, which lets in light of the undergrowth with a certain unique beauty, certainly, but one can blame him, just like the two previous games, visual qualities somewhat below potential real of the film. The reason is the same as before: no remastering or restoration worthy of the name has been made .... However, contrasts and light derive real potential of this master HD which offers a stable, defined and bright, with the exception of the very first seconds, close to a laserdisc, and as is the case on three films in the saga of this case. The sequences of the roughest and darkest show on the screen reproduction quality unique, but still far from totally convincing. The original film grain has been preserved, prove use of the filter DNR moderate and efficient.

No need to dwell on the virtues and acoustic sound of this third installment. Nothing more than what everyone already knows since the era of the DVD format: Jurassic Park III, unlike his two predecessors, has a soundtrack, soft and close to the bland, almost completely inexpressive and simply issue a bare minimum, far away, if not light years, experiments anthology of two previous films, such as Blu-Ray edition breed with a unique clarity. Here, and in short, the feeling of volume and three-dimensionality seems reduced to a (meager) rations. The very first play sequences map close to the television minimalism, while the sequences rough, certainly more advanced display detailed sound too temperate and application of the six channels (plus one) himself too honed and hollow compared fireworks in the first two volumes. Worse séquenc of the plane crash that opens the adventurous part of the film, provides the soundtrack (in the background) so muffled and compressed, just as it did on the DVD presentation. Album only three to have been mixed natively on seven channels (6.1), it will also be the least convincing on this ground there. It's simple: the center rear channel, here doubled to close to zero decibels show most of the time, and at best will qualify the rendering of the scene back, itself ultimately very little used.
The comparison with the first film, dating from 1993, and was first used, in theaters, the DTS codec, proved abysmal. The first film is a scene back dripping with detail, rich colors, capable of dynamic differences majestic, as is that of the second component. All manner of breathing and multi dimensional, and in all circumstances, be seen from the whole to new heights. On this third album, nothing really seems to agree, and his team of the film, yet it also virtuoso, nothing like that of the first two titles, on which Gary Rydstrom and Gary Summers had performed wonders beyond measure. This soundtrack, served here in uncompressed digital audio, bored and tired, to force default on its obligations. The frequency response remains fairly neutral, a bit too much perhaps, and the sub-bass is certainly exploited, but far too rarely. The channel balance favors the front soundstage, with an opening and an extended sound far too tenuous to convince ... the absolute opposite of the two previous films. A final result close to the insipid in our view, both made with that proposed here differs from other films, and reduces the full scope ....
This edition offers on each title, a documentary (or more) unpublished, for a maximum of 25 minutes. Produced by the brilliant Laurent Bouzereau, module series allows players to experience the film years later, and power, these days, having the perspective of the director and technical team members. Short, but excellent. This third album offers only one of these modules, with, at end of program, a tribute to Michael Crichton and Stan Winston.
